Chapter 7:
In this chapter we will cover the period of American History right after the Revolutionary War. During this period America faced many different challenges as a new nation. Americans soon realized that the government that had been set up, The Article of Confederation, was not strong enough to handle these challenges. Leaders decided to hold a Constitution Convention and ended up creating a completely new Constitution. But agreeing on how a new form of government was to be structure was not easy and required many compromises. At the end of this unit we will then look at the Constitution and understand how our government functions.
